Today's Newsletter . . .  Race recaps and results below!

If it weren't for the BRAVE, There would be NO FREEDOM.
PRE RACE STUFF ....
The Racers Prayer:
Lord I Pray as I race today, keep me safe along the way.  Not only me but others too as they perform the jobs they do.  I know God, that in a race I, the driver must set the pace.  But in this race of life, I pray, help me Lord along the way.  Although I know I am a sinner, Help me to believe, that with God you're always a winner.

-- 3 - 7 year olds said the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE (One Nation UNDER GOD)
Lori Beth Hogan sang GOD BLESS AMERICA! The Nashville Stars sang the National Anthem!

-- Noticeably missed? The flyover crew?

--
Jerry Kilgore, Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Virginia, was the Grand Marshal and said those (many!) great words ... In honor of our Country, In honor of our Freedom, In honor of our TROOPS!, Gentlemen Start your Engines!
-- 70 degrees at the start, Track Temp was 88 degree's, Sunny with a cool breeze.

--  #22-Ward Burton wrecked his primary car in the early Saturday practice at Martinsville and went to a back up, so he will have to give up his 12th starting spot and fall to the rear of the field before the green flag. Also #37-Derrike Cope lost an engine in practice and goes to the back [he was to start 42nd, so he won't go too far] and #02-Hermie Sadler goes to the back [but was to start 43rd/last anyway] due to a driver change as Dennis Setzer [who won the Truck race] qualified the 2002 Chevy for Sadler, who was in Nashville for the Busch race. Jayski's (4-12-2003)

Robin sez ...
"HEY, LARRY MAC...seems like the 88's in need of a crew chief......"  ;)
What Yates fan WOULDN'T want to see him back working at RYR?!!  Oh well,  looks like we're in for a topsy-turvy year!
=) Robin
