Tid Bits from The 1999 MBNA Platinum 400 at Dover Downs 

                  CAUTION # 1 Lap #6  Kenny Schrader spun (Sad) in turn 1, Dick Trickle (DNF) 
                  was caught up in another incident at the same time ,,, 
                  Dale Earnhardt pitted during this caution, they changed the engine before 
                  this race.
                  RESTART Lap # 13 
                  Green Flag pits start lap 90- 
                  Elliott Sadler and Kyle Petty held for speeding on pit road
                  Dave Marcis behind the wall, oil leak. Replacing line coming back out.
                  Lap 99 - Michael Waltrip is behind the wall . . . Blown Motor  (DNF).
                  Kyle Petty going in for Unscheduled pit?
                  CAUTION #2 Lap #162 - Oil on the track-Dave Marcis back behind the wall.
                  Tony Stewart pit stall is Full of oil due to Dave Marcis's leak.
                  Rusty Wallace having fuel problems...

                  lap 230-Kyle Petty going in for early/Unscheduled pit-Tire down.
                  LAP 237 Only 9 cars on the lead lap....Tony Stewart (rookie), Jeff Gordon, 
                  Bobby Labonte, Mark Martin, Kenny Wallace, Jeremy Mayfield, Rusty Wallace, 
                  Jeff Burton, and Current points Leader Dale Jarrett.
                  Lap 251-early Green flag pit for Geoffrey Bodine, also tire going down.
                  Lap 258-Full field Green flag pits are beginning   
                  *** Rusty Wallace's gas man ((Bob Tracy)) was hit in the ankle by a lug nut 
                  and the air gun, that was kicked up as Rusty speed out of the pit.  He seems 
                  to be okay, going to infield care center then to local hospital, possible 
                  broken bones in right foot.
                  Lap 269--#98 Rick Mast ((Guess who Universal ?? Hum??) car spun No caution.
                  Lap 270--Kenny Schrader is back out!!!
                  CAUTION # 3 Lap #278 Chad Little spun in turn 2 (did a great job handling the 
                  car, never hit the wall)
                  Brett Bodine (not sure why) and Robert Pressley (electrical prob. DNF) both 
                  are behind the wall.
                  Rusty Wallace, Jeff Burton and Dale Jarrett are the only 3 to pit during this 
                  yellow.
                  RESTART Lap # 283
                  CAUTION # 4 Lap #288  ((SNIT, SNIT, SNIT)) Kenny Wallace wrecks ,,, SIGH ,,, 
                  Jeremy Mayfield was also involved.
                  Caution is longer than normal because the gas man is going via ambulance to 
                  hosp. they have no tunnels at Dover, so the ambulance must go across the 
                  track.
                  RESTART Lap # 296  (104 laps to go) Dale Jarrett did not pit and took the 
                  lead, Rusty Wallace is 2nd.
                  Tony Steward, got 4 tires, and many others getting splashes of gas,  with 32 
                  laps to go....this race could go to gas mileage, Gordon might be 5 laps short 
                  if there is no caution.  
                  10 laps to go most of the field has gotten gas.  Except the leader Jeff 
                  Gordon and Also Bobby Labonte, Labonte thinks he can make it on the gas he 
                  has.  ((memories or 98 Dover race!))
                  Lap 394   6 laps yto go Gordon comes in for gas, Bobby Labonte takes the lead.
